The Town of Bennett is growing and there is a significant need for healthcare providers and medical services. There are over 1 million people who live within a 10-mile radius of Bennett, so our Town is ready to welcome doctors, healthcare networks and small and mid-sized medical facilities. 

Our Fire Rescue and EMS Services division responds to approximately 1000 medical-related calls each year. The round-trip medical transport time is approximately 78 minutes. Having a local emergency facility in the Town would help us serve our residents in a more efficient and timely manner.

Anschutz Medical Campus is the nearest hospital to Bennett and is located 26 miles away in Aurora, Colorado.

The Town of Bennett is located on I-70 and near the Denver interchanges for I-25 and I-76.  Our location is convenient for the delivering and receiving of medications and medical supplies.  

Individuals who live in Aurora and Denver, and various suburbs are able to commute to and from Bennett because of our convenient interstate access. There are accessible south routes directly from Bennett for travel to Colorado Springs and beyond.

Bennett is located 25 miles from the Denver International Airport and 10 miles from the Colorado Air and Space Port.

Master Transportation Plan

The Town of Bennett’s Master Transportation Plan (MTP) sets the foundation to support short- and long-term multimodal transportation improvement projects for the foreseeable future. The plan identifies transportation goals, policies, strategies, and priority investments for the future that respond to Town needs focused on current and projected housing, employment, and travel patterns. Overall, it provides a long-range transportation vision for the future to best serve system users and address increasing demands for travel in and around the Bennett community.

Utilities

The Town is planning for future growth and development through its innovative Capital Asset Inventory Master Plan (CAIMP). In recent years, the town has completed $28 million of capital construction and improvements. This includes a new wastewater treatment facility, a new elevated water storage tank and new town hall.

ESTech serves Bennett with high-speed Internet and voice services. ESTech has installed 192.5 miles of fiber optic cable in Bennett. They continue to install more fiber every day to increase high-speed Internet service and availability in the area.

Comcast also serves a portion of the Town of Bennett with high-speed Internet.

CORE Electric Cooperative

CORE Electric Cooperative serves more than 165,000 members along Colorado’s Front Range. The nearly 5,000-square-mile service area includes portions of 11 counties to the east, west and south of Denver. Water Supply

The Town’s water supply comes from four Denver Basin aquifers underlying the Town. Considering all aquifers, the Town has a total of 2989.27 acre feet of water rights. The system includes five storage tanks with a storage volume over 1.5 million gallons. As new land projects are approved and developed, additional water storage incorporated into the subdivision agreements to assure new development pays its own way.
 

Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue

Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue currently provides All-Hazard response to a service area covering approximately 325 square miles, operating out of 2 fully staffed stations, providing 24/7 coverage, an Administrative Building which houses our Administrative Staff including the Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, and Fire Chief, and a Maintenance Facility.
